On Tuesday, June 22, nine C.A.R.E. volunteers stepped up to prepare supply bins for the homeless. Through fundraisers such as art classes and an Etsy shop, the baby hygiene team was able to raise enough money to purchase hygiene and medical supplies for the bins that were distributed. These supplies included baby shampoo, diaper rash cream, baby powder, baby wipes, baby toothpaste and toothbrushes, as well as baby nail clippers and baby towels. Along with these supplies, educational pamphlets were provided that explained everything people needed to know about the products. The hygiene products were split between two bins, one for medical supplies and one specifically for baby hygiene. These bins were later put onto a special rolling cart that will be given to the shelter and restocked by C.A.R.E. on a regular basis. The rolling cart was hand painted and decorated by the members at the packaging event, serving as a symbol of hope and kindness for those at the shelter going through tough times. Hopefully, this cart will put forth a lasting impact on the families at the homeless shelter by providing them with essential medical and hygiene supplies that they may not have received otherwise!
