This Saturday, February 6, 2021, we partnered up with CityServe in order to pack school supply kits for children of veterans living in Valor Crossing. The supplies were donated through a fundraiser done by the Rotary Club. We made more than 60 bags full of supplies that the kids will be able to use for the rest of the year. The bags consisted of notebooks, folders, pens, markers, crayons, and a lot of pencils. Of course, we didn’t forget masks. Each kit contained 3-5 reusable homemade masks, which is enough to last the entire family for quite a while. The masks were very colorful, with different patterns. Thanks to CityServe for being so supportive and for bringing this project to us. We hope that the children who receive these kits enjoy them because they were definitely a lot of fun to pack! We hope to participate in future projects such as this, and we definitely look forward to working with CityServe in the next few months!
