On July 2nd, two passionate Dental Hygiene Team leaders from CARE visited Samaritan House in San Mateo, where they took out their time to drop off 72 Dental Hygiene Kits. These kits contained 2 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, 1 tongue scraper, one floss box, and a thoroughly researched phamplet made by our own volunteers. These phamplets included how to use the items inside the kit, as well as how to practice proper dental hygiene, and detect early signs of dental issues. Project C.A.R.E. and the Dental Hygiene team hopes that these supplies and phamplets will help out many people at the shelter. We hope to do much more distributions and in-persons events with Samiritan House in the future!
